Three checks before you buy
Use the recipient’s account details, not the buyer’s location or current travel destination.
Read the account country or region
Ask the recipient to check their Microsoft account settings themselves. You do not need their password, login code or account access.
Read the exact product market
Use the chosen product record. A broad Europe or Middle East label needs a country-specific eligibility check.
Compare the currency and denomination
Confirm the amount of recipient balance. The seller’s USD price is separate and cannot establish the redemption market.

Do not change the account just to force a match
A gift card is not a region-change tool. Changing account settings can have wider consequences and may not make a code eligible. Follow Microsoft’s country/region guidance instead of using workarounds.
